How to burn your candle
How to burn your candle
- Natural wax has a memory. So when you light your candle for the first time, make sure you allow the wax pool to melt all the way to the edges of the container. The next time you burn your candle it will melt as far as it did the first time. This prevents the wax from tunnelling and leaving a build-up of wax around the sides of the container.
- Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts or fans, and out of the reach of children or pets.
- Natural wax burns slower than other waxes and gives an excellent scent experience. We recommend burning a candle for approximately 2 - 4 hours at a time.
- We advise trimming the wick to half a centimetre before each burn. Take care not to allow debris to collect in the wax pool - bits of trimmed wick or discarded match can act as a second fuel source, making your candle burn faster.
- Make sure you stop burning your candle when there is 5-10mm of wax left at the bottom, keeping an eye on it when the wax starts to get low.

We only use high quality paraben free and vegan friendly fragrance oils manufactured in the UK by British perfumers. Being completely natural, our wax has distinctive features; a creamy soft texture and sometimes imperfections on the surface of the wax. This in no way affects the performance of the candle, it is part of the beauty of an all natural product.

Natural wax is much slower burning than the traditional paraffin or mineral wax favoured by most high street luxury brands. It therefore gives you a much better value for money. However candle burning times are not an exact science. We give an estimated candle burn time on each individual candle page and recommend following this guide to get the most out of your candles. Each candle will burn for a varying amount of time depending on its fragrance and how it is cared for.
